The trusted little car that we get us across some of the most challenging and remote places on earth is of course a 1.1L Peugeot 106 Independence. It has been chosen not so much for its off-road prowess, exceptional power or agility, but simply because it was the first car we found that was within budget and within the 10 years rule.
So far,so good. The main problems seem to be minor electrical faults largely caused by our own inept attempts to add a new radio and power socket.
