About

The Mangomatics are one of the teams taking part in The Adventurist Africa Rally 09.

They are far better placed to explain what the whole thing is about so be sure to check-out the official Africa Rally site. In very simple terms a bunch of adventurers will set off  from London in December 09 and head towards Cameroon in small engined cars which they then auction off on arrival, all in aid of charity.

Check out the Route we are planning to take >>

We are raising funds in aid of The Rainforest Foundation, so please help our by donating through our JustGiving page.

The team:

 dan-moll

Daniel Moll: Co-Driver, mechanic & generally the organised one

Dan may be a late comer to the team, but has already proved to be its most valuable asset! From sorting visas to basically getting things moving, Dan will probably be the reason we get to Cameroon!

Kevin Mann

Kevin Mann: Co-Driver & pic taker

Can’t wait to get going! I haven’t been back to Africa since my teens. Will be great to be there again, and the West coast will be something new for me. I will hopefully have time to take a few pics and vids on the way, which I will post on the Mangomatics gallery, my pic site (note to self: must get round to updating it), Redbuble, and maybe anywhere else that seems relevant.

Nick

Nick Gow: Co-Driver Retired

Scottish git who had to pull out before the race could begin. You had better make a pretty good donation, Nick!

Anyone can apply for the vacancy Nick has left at: www.mangomatics.com/apply

Special thanks to:

Papa

Papa (Mike): Trip advisor

Papa’s considerable experience in roughing it across Africa and advice on how to get nearly killed (with the emphasis on nearly), has been invaluable in planning the route and other essentials for the trip. Thanks!

Also, he has been keeping the little car safe in Rome until we are able to get across to pick it up.
